Michigan Drug Possession First Offender Programs

If you have been charged with drug possession or drug use and it is your first drug charge, you may be eligible to get your case dismissed under Michigan’s §333.7411 (often referred to as “7411”). This is true even if you have had other convictions for non drug related offenses. This First Offender Program does not apply to possession with intent to distribute, manufacture. This first offender program generally does not apply to possession cases if the amount in possession is over 25 grams.

Generally to get the case dismissed under the 7411 Michigan Drug Possession First Offender Program you may get probation. Upon successful completion of probation the case may be dismissed. If probation is violated 7411 can be revoked.
